Rain Reeta Loi writes short stories, essays, songs and poetry and is currently writing their debut book.
Rain was a columnist at leading lesbian, bi, women and non-binary title DIVA for three years from 2017. They wrote features before becoming Contributing Editor at GAY TIMES from 2018 to 2021. Their poetry has been published in the She Voices Anthology and Rain’s poetry was most recently published in 2026 in Anarkiss, a women’s & LGBTQ+ zine.
In 2017 Rain was selected by Penguin Random House as one of 50 writers in London to take part in their ‘Write Now’ initiative, based on an early excerpt of their book.
Rain’s writing is well known for mainstreaming narratives for emerging audiences.
Rain’s debut book is in the works and they publish essays on their Substack newsletter entitled ‘SOUND’, which you can read here.
